Das große Indikationsspektrum von Doppelkronenprothesen zeichnet diese als beliebte Therapiemittel für zahn- oder implantatgetragenen sowie hybriden Zahnersatz aus. Im klinischen Alltag treten jedoch immer wieder Misserfolge auf. Aufgrund des präzisen Zusammenspiels zwischen Innen- und Außenkrone bzw. der Mesostruktur sollten Reparaturtechniken gewählt werden, die teilweise intraoral angewendet werden können, um Ungenauigkeiten durch Modellherstellung zu kompensieren.
