Der klinische Fall: Gastropathie bei einem Fohlen

Der klinische Fall

Ein 7 Wochen altes Fohlen wurde nach zunächst konservativer und dann chirurgischer Therapie einer Nabelinfektion mit deutlicher Koliksymptomatik auffällig. Bei einer daraufhin durchgeführten Gastroskopie konnten hochgradige Magenschleimhautläsionen als Kolikursache diagnostiziert werden, die durch eine konsequente medikamentöse Behandlung erfolgreich zu behandeln waren. Anhand dieses Fallberichts sollen die Besonderheiten der ulzerativen Gastritis beim Fohlen im Vergleich zum erwachsenen Pferd sowie die Behandlungsmöglichkeiten dargestellt werden.
