Die klinischen und zahntechnischen Verfahren zur Versorgung des zahnlosen Kiefers sind seit mehr als 80 Jahren nahezu unverändert geblieben. Die zunehmende Verbreitung digitaler Technologien in der Zahnmedizin hat dazu geführt, dass digitale Fertigungsverfahren zunehmend auch für die Herstellung von Totalprothesen genutzt werden [1].
