Introduction
Paleoradiology is the study of bioarchaeological materials using modern imaging methods. Computed tomography (CT) has become the gold standard for human mummy studies due to its high spatial resolution, image contrast, various post-processing modalities, and non-destructive nature. CT is a fundamental component of interdisciplinary mummy studies.
