Abstract

Computer-aided treatment analysis permits by integration of cone beam computed tomography data the setup of a 3-dimensional model of teeth, roots and alveolar bones of maxilla and mandible. This leads to an exact anatomical diagnosis and to an orthodontic treatment planning which includes ideal root positions and the biological limits. This concept will be described by means of 3 patient cases.
