Resektion eines thorakalen Ösophagusdivertikels bei einem Hund

Zusammenfassung

Zwei Monate nach operativer Therapie eines persistierenden rechten Aortenbogens in der 6. Lebenswoche wurde ein Rauhaardackel aufgrund weiterhin bestehender Regurgitation vorgestellt. Röntgenaufnahmen des Thorax zeigten eine hochgradige präkardiale Erweiterung der Speiseröhre, die mittels Ösophagoskopie als Divertikel diagnostiziert wurde. Über eine linksseitige Thorakotomie im dritten Interkostalraum wurde das Ösophagusdivertikel reseziert. Durch den Eingriff konnte eine vollständige Remission der Regurgitation erreicht werden. Erfolgreiche Operationen am Ösophagus stellen besondere Anforderungen an die chirurgische Vorgehensweise, auf die in diesem Arti kel eingegangen wird.

Summary

A wire haired Dachshund was surgically treated for a persistent right aortic arch when aged 6 weeks. Two months later, the dog was presented again, because of persistent regurgitation. X-ray examination revealed a high-degree precardial dilatation of the oesophagus, which was diagnosed as a diverticulum by oesophagoscopy. A left thoracotomy in the third intercostal space was performed to resect the oesophageal diverticulum. Through this procedure, a complete remission of regurgitation was achieved. Successful operations on the oesophagus require specific surgical techniques, which are discussed in this article.
