The Effect of Silymarin and Related Phenolics on the Activity of Catalase

Abstract
Silybin, silydianin, and silychristin, the main constituents of silymarin, do not appreciably affect the activity of catalase in vitro, whereas some related flavonoids and phenolic acids are weak but significant iohibitors of this enzyme.
