Abstract

From the root bark of Ailanthus altis-sima four simple indole alkaloids have been isolated: Cathin-6-one (I), 1-medio xycathin-6-one (II), Methyl 6-methoxy-ß-carboline-1 -carboxylate (III) and an unidentified alkaloid.
