Abstract
The hydrolysis of anthraquinone glycosides on TLC plates is described and the influence of different conditions is investigated. This method in connection with two dimensional separation of the aglycones formed by hydrolysis allows all glycosides to be evaluated. Densitometric curves are given to follow up the several stages of hydrolysis and to show the spectrum of glycosides of Frangula bark.
