Abstract

Several catalytic protocols for the oxidation of hydro­soluble substrates are presented that employ totally inorganic and robust polyoxometalate-based catalysts as well as porphyrin sensitizers, fullerenes and hybrid conjugates. Strategies for the implementation of the system stability and efficiency are discussed.
