Zusammenfassung:
Die intrathorakale Niere ist eine seltene Form der renalen Ektopie. In der Literatur
wurden bisher etwa 178 Fälle beschrieben, wobei in keinem Fall über ein thorakal ektopes
Nierenbecken bei regelrecht liegender Niere berichtet wurde. Im Rahmen der Abklärung
unklarer Oberbauchbeschwerden wurde bei einem 62jährigen Patienten ein intrathorakal
liegendes Nierenbecken bei orthotop liegender Niere rechts diagnostiziert. Anhand
des dargestellten Verlaufes werden Ursachen und Diagnostik der thorakalen Nieren-
bzw. Nierenbeckenektopie diskutiert. Bei regelrechten Abflußverhältnissen und normaler
Nierenfunktion ist eine weitere chirurgische Therapie nicht erforderlich.
Abstract
Intrathoracic kidney is a rare form of renal ectopy. While the literature reports
about 178 cases, not one case of isolated intrathoracic renal pelvis was found: A
62-year-old man had been complaining of abdominal and flank pain. Ultrasound showed
mild hydronephrosis. Antegrade pyelography following percutaneous nephrostomy demonstrated
an intrathoracic renal pelvis. Etiology and diagnostic methods of ectopic thoracic
kidney are discussed. Normally functioning intrathoracic kidneys without hydronephrosis
require no surgical treatment.
