Abstract
For the construction of a new compact endoscope we have used the experiences gained in 46 transurethral extractions of ureterstones under direct vision with a rigide 12 Fr. uretero-renoscope.
This new endoscope has a diameter of only 9.5 Fr. and the operation and irrigation channel has 5 Fr.
The new method is explained on the example of a ureterstone in the upper urinary tract.
Numerous auxiliary instruments allow the diagnostic and operative exploration of the ureter and the kidney hollow system and exceed the transurethral treatment up t o the upper urinary tract.
