Zusammenfassung
Mineralwässer werden in der Balneologie im wesentlichen zu Trink- und Badezwecken,
in manchen Fällen auch zur Inhalationsbehandlung genutzt. Die Verwendung hängt im
einzelnen von den spezifischen Inhaltsstoffen ab.
Neben der Grenzkonzentration von 1 g·kg-1 fester gelöster Stoffe existieren noch andere Kriterien für die Anerkennung von Mineralwässern
als Heilmittel.
Die besonderen Bedingungen in den Kurorten stellen an Nutzung und Schutz der Mineralwässer
weit höhere Anforderungen als an die herkömmliche Trinkwasserversorgung. So bedeutet
Mineralwasserschutz nicht nur die Bewahrung der Wässer vor organischen und anorganischen
Verunreinigungen und quantitativer Überbeanspruchung, sondern vor allem die Erhaltung
ihrer natürlichen Zusammensetzung. Besonders therapeutisch nutzbare gelöste Gase (CO2 , Rn-222, H2 S) stellen hohe Ansprüche an Schutz, Gewinnung, Transport und Speicherung der Wässer.
Dazu wird eine Übersicht über Verbote und Nutzungsbeschränkungen in Heilwasserschutzzonen
gegeben.
Summary
Mineral waters are mainly used in balneology for drinking and bathing purposes, in
some cases also for the inhalation. The application in detail depends on the specific
chemical composition of the waters.
In addition to the known limiting concentration of 1 g·kg-1 of soluted solid substances still other essential aspects exist for the acknowledgement
of mineral waters as remedies.
The special conditions in the spas require much higher efforts in regard to the utilization
and the protection of mineral waters than to the usual drinking-water supply. Thus
the protection of mineral waters does not imply only the preservation of the waters
from organic and anorganic pollution, and from the quantitative overstrain but also
the preservation of their natural composition.
Particularly the therapeutically applicable gases (CO2 , Rn-222, H2 S) require great efforts concerning the protection, the exploitation, the transport,
and the storing of the waters.
It is given a review of prohibitions and limitations of utilization within the protection
areas of mineral waters.
