Ungewöhnliche Harnsteinbildung in einer Ureterozele mit Ureterknospe und Nierenagenesie
Rare Stone Formation in an Ureterocele Associated with Ureter Notching and Renal AgenesisPublication History

Abstract
We report on a 74 year old male patient with an asymptomatic ureterocele, kidney agenesia and blind ending ureter on the same side. The ureterocele was almost completely filled with numerous 3-4 mm sized stones that were shaped like a ring and had a very hard smooth surface. The outer shell consisted of apatit, the inner softer part was struvite. The ring-like shape probably was developed by repeated processes of solution and cristallization. The ureterocele was resected transurethrally; the stones were removed endoscopically, resulting in an asymptomatic reflux into the blind ending ureter.
