Veränderungen der Dauer der Schlafzyklen unter Flurazepam und Lopirazepam

Summary

The influence of narcotics on the duration of the ultradian NREM/REM cycle can be clearly recognized only when the first, particularly instable cylce is also included in the evaluation.

A study with Lopirazepame and Flurazepame showed that compared to placebo Lopirazepame prolonged the frist cycle particularly. In constrast with Flurazepame the first, but mainly the second cycle was shortened, and not until the third NREM/REM cycle the duration was compatible with that of placebo and Lopirazepame.

The result ist, that in nights of the same length Flurazepame shows a half or one cycle more compared to Lopirazepame.

Zusammenfassung

Die Beeinflussung der Länge der Ultradianen NREM/REM-Zyklik durch Hypnotika läßt sich nur dann deutlich erkennen, wenn auch der este, besonders labile Zyklus in die Betrachtungen mit einbezogen wird.

In einer Studie mit 10 mg Lopirazepam und 30 mg Flurazepam zeigte sich, daß - gegenüber Plazebo - Lopirazepam den ersten Zyklus verlängert. Demgegenüber blieb unter Flurazepam der erste, vor allem aber der zweite Zyklus verkürzt; erst im dritten NREM/REM-Zyklus wurde die Dauer derjenigen unter Plazebo und Lopirazepam angeglichen. Die Folge war, daß unter Flurazepam in gleich langen Nächten ein halber bis ein ganzer Zyklus mehr vorlagen als unter Lopirazepam.
