Abstract

A 3 1/2-year-old girl in whom an abdominal mass was palpated by coincidence is described. The mass proved to be a partially necrotic accessory spleen.

The surgical significance of an accessory spleen is discussed.

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 3 1/2Jährigen Mädchen wurde bei der Palpation ein Abdominaltumor festgestellt. Bei der Laparotomie fand sich eine zum Teil nekrotische Nebenmilz. Die chirurgische Bedeutung einer Nebenmilz wird diskutiert.
