Zusammenfassung

Das hereditäre Angioödem als Sonderform des Quinckeödems wird durch einen Mangel des C1-Esterase-Inhibitors im Komplementsystem verursacht. Es kommt zu Schwellungen der Extremitäten, des Gesichtes, der Lider, des Stammes, der Atemwege und des Gastrointestinaltraktes. Auf die ophthalmologische Bedeutung, die Diagnostik und die Therapie wird hingewiesen.

Summary

Hereditary angioedema is caused by a defiency of the C 1 esterase inhibitor ( a component of complement). It is manifested by attacks of swelling of the extremities, face, eyelids, trunk, respiratory tract or abdominal viscera. The ophthalmological significance, diagnosis, symptoms and treatment of the condition are discussed.
