Summary

A case of gigantic fibroma of the head is presented, that had developed slowly over a period of 46 years, and showed rapid growth over a period of three weeks after local trauma. We decided to publish this observation because of the unusual size of the tumour and the problems of differential diagnosis.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird ein Fall eines Riesenfibroms des Kopfes vorgestellt, das sich über eine Zeit von 46 Jahren langsam entwickelte, jedoch nach einem lokalen Trauma innerhalb von 3 Wochen sich erheblich vergrößerte. Die ungewöhnliche Größe der Geschwulst und die Probleme der Differentialdiagnose haben zu der Publikation dieser Beobachtung geführt.
