Zusammenfassung

In einer prospektiven Untersuchung wird die Wirkung von Dexamethason mit Methylprednisolon bei schweren Schädelhirnverletzungen verglichen. Jeweils 20 Patienten wurden klinisch-neurologisch, computer-tomographisch und elektro-enzephalographisch untersucht. Das EEG wurde frequenzanalytisch ausgewertet; zwischen der Dexamethason- und Methylprednisolongruppe ließ sich statistisch kein Unterschied nachweisen.

Abstract

In a prospective investigation, the effect of dexamethasone in severe head injuries is compared with methylprednisolone. Twenty patients were examined by computer-tomography and electroencephalography. The EEG was evaluated by frequency analysis; a statistically significant difference could not be demonstrated between the dexamethasone and methylprednisolone group.
