Indometacin Gel (Amuno® Gel) - Eine neue topische Anwendungsform von Indometacin*

Abstract

The efficacy of the topical application of 1% Indomethacin Gel (4 x daily 2 g each for 14 days) in enthesiopathies and non-systemic tenovaginitides at the upper extremity, was examined clinically and thermographically in a multicenter study comprising 60 patients. In 20 patients, examination was carried out on the bases of a double-blind placebo-controlled treatment. The clinical and thermographical results clearly show definite improvements of the subjective complaints, a decrease of the maximum temperature, and a change in the histogram of the isotherms. It is evident from earlier and current studies, that there is good local resorption; indomethacin can be identified in the synovial fluid and in the plasma. Local tolerance is good, and no systemic side effects have been noticed.

Zusammenfassung

Die Wirksamkeit der topikalen Anwendung von 1%igem Indometacin Gel (4 x täglich je 2 g durch 14 Tage) bei Enthesiopathien und nicht-systemischen Tenovaginitiden an der oberen Extremität wurde klinische und thermographisch multizentrisch an 60 Patienten untersucht. Bei 20 Patienten davon wurde die Untersuchung nach Art einer doppelblind placebokontrollierten Behandlung durchgeführt. Die klinischen und thermographischen Ergebnisse lassen eine eindeutige Besserung der subjektiven Beschwerden, eine Abnahme der maximalen Temperatur und eine Änderung im Histogramm der Isothermen erkennen. Wie aus früheren und laufenden Studien zu erkennen ist, kommt es zu einer guten lokalen Resorption von Indometacin und es kann in der Synovialflüßigkeit und im Plasma nachgewiesen werden. Die lokale Verträglichkeit ist gut, systemische Nebenwirkungen waren nicht zu verzeichnen.
