Abstract

The causes of ulnar drift in a rheumatoid hand are many, but above all due to imbalance of the extrinsic and intrinsic muscles and their tendons. Primarily the distension caused by synovitis, thus blowing up the joint, could be the reason for tendon luxations. The role and importance of the so-called scoliosis of the hand is emphasized. Aspects of pre- and postop. treatment are given.

Es gibt viele Ursachen für die Ulnardeviation in einer rheumatoiden Hand, vor allem jedoch ist sie auf ein Ungleichgewicht der Extrinsic- und Intrinsicmuskeln und deren Sehnen zurückzuführen. Primär wird diese Ausdehnung durch die Synovitis hervorgerufen, die so das Gelenk »aufbläst« und also die Ursache für Sehenluxationen sein könnte. Die Rolle und die Bedeutung der sogenannten Handskoliose wird aufgezeigt. Auch werden Aspekte der prä- und postop. Behandlung gegeben.
