Abstract
A detailed analysis of the elimination performance of the kidneys is given in respect of intramuscular gold therapy in rheumatoid arthritis, subsequent to a tabulated review of organ involvement in general, with particular reference to the incidence of proteinuria, its lowest threshold limit and the treatment measures adopted if proteinuria has been clinically confirmed. Membranous glomerulonephritis is dealt with in respect of laboratory data, diagnosis, aetiology and pathogenesis, prognosis and prophylaxis.
