Abstract

Two cases of torsion of the testis following previous "fixation" are reported. Prompt recognition of this emergency situation and detorsion may save the ischaemic organ. The importance of adequate bilateral fixation of the testicles within the tunica vaginalis is stressed to prevent possible recurrences.

Zusammenfassung

Der Bericht befaßt sich mit 2 Fällen von Hodentorsion nach vorheriger ,,Fixation". Nur die sofortige Erkennung dieser Notsituation und die unverzügliche Detorquierung des Hodens kann das Organ retten.

Entscheidend für die Vermeidung dieser Komplikation ist eine doppelseitige Befestigung des Hodens an der Tunica vaginalis.
