Abstract

Two combination chemotherapy protocols are compared for their toxicity. As expected the T6 protocol is more toxic to the bone marrow when compared to the T2 protocol. The incidence of blood transfusions is increased two to three fold. There is no increased incidence of other severe side effects or acute complications. Both chemotherapy protocols are tolerable if intensive supportive care including platelet transfusions can be provided.

Zusammenfassung

Zwei Kombinations-Chemotherapie-Protokolle werden bezüglich ihrer Toxizität verglichen. Die Knochenmarksdepression ist unter dem T6-Protokoll stärker ausgeprägt im Vergleich zum T2-Protokoll. Bluttransfusionen sind unter dem T6-ProtokolI zwei- bis dreimal häufiger erforderlich. Jedoch ist die Zahl der fieberhaften Infektionen und die Sepsishäufigkeit nicht erhöht. Beide Chemotherapie-Protokolle sind tolerabel unter den Voraussetzungen einer intensiven supportiven Therapie.
