Abstract

The article reports on a boy aged 16 œ years suffering from transfusion haemosiderosis associated with corticoid-resistant black fan diamond anaemia.

Besides hepatosplenomegalia and cardiomegalia, the course of the disease was mainly determined by the deficient functioning of several endocrine glands. The diagnosis revealed primary hypothyroidism, hypoparathyroidism and partial insufficiency of the pituitary gland.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über einen 16 œ Jahre alten Jungen mit einer Transfusionshämosiderose bei kortikoidresistenter Blackfan-Diamond-Anämie berichtet.

Neben Hepatosplenomegalie und Kardiomegalie war für das Krankheitsgeschehen vor allem die Unterfunktion mehrerer innersekretorischer Drüsen bestimmend. Es fanden sich eine primäre Hypothyreose, ein Hypoparathyreoidismus und eine partielle Hypophyseninsuffizienz.
