Die Bedeutung der Adoption für die Reversibilität frühkindlicher Deprivationserfahrungen

Abstract

The data presented concerning the development of adopted children are based on the findings of a great number of controlled studies on adoptees. The findings indicate, that adoption may be an effective instrument of social therapy for reducing the consequences of social and cognitive deprivation in the earliest childhood. Factors which influence the adoptive process are discussed. The importance of the relationship between adoptee and adoptive parents for the child's development is emphasized.

Zusammenfassung

Anhand von Forschungsergebnissen aus einer Vielzahl kontrollierter größerer Adoptionsuntersuchungen wird über die Entwicklung von Adoptivkindern berichtet. Dabei wird die Adoption als eine wirkungsvolle sozialtherapeutische Maßnahme deutlich, die geeignet ist, die Folgen frühkindlicher Erfahrungen von sozialer und kognitiver Deprivation zu mindern. Es werden einige Behinderungen für eine günstige bzw. Ursachen für eine problematische Entwicklung des Adoptionsverlaufes erörtert, wobei den Adoptiveltern zentrale Bedeutung zukommt.
