EURO-NOTES Foundation

With great pleasure we announce that Ethicon Endo-Surgery Europe is supporting the EURO-NOTES Foundation with an unconditional grant of € 357,000.

Paul Fockens, ESGE Secretary General and chairman of the foundation states: „The donation helps to move forward academic research in this field and is a valuable contribution to the innovation of minimally invasive surgery.”

The EURO-NOTES Foundation, established in cooperation between the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) in 2007, focuses on all activities regarding Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES). Goal of this foundation is to support original research efforts designed to advance the art and signs of NOTES and patients safety and to support open access research in this new emerging interdisciplinary therapy.

Application for the Ethicon Endo-Surgery grant is open to EAES and ESGE Individual Members and submission will be possible at www.euro-notes.org until July 1, 2008. Grant winners will be announced at the upcoming EURO-NOTES Workshop 2008, September 25 to September 27, 2008 at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.
