Halluzinationen der Körpervergrößerung bei der Migräne

Abstract

Hallucinations of body magnification, representing aura symptoms of migraine, are recorded in 2 original observations and in 32 cases reported in the clinical literature. These hallucinations represent an isolated neuropsychological symptom that can be conceived as a disorder of the body schema. The head and the hands are the anatomic regions that are most frequently affected. This parallels the dominance of representation of these regions in the sensory cerebral cortex. Hallucinations of body magnification frequently co-occur with aura symptoms of basilar migraine, which is compatible with the hypothesis of a localisation of these hallucinations in the regions of the thalamus and the parieto-temporo- occipital cortex.

Zusammenfassung

Halluzinationen der Körpervergrößerung werden anhand von zwei eigenen Fallbeobachtungen und 32 Fällen aus der klinischen Literatur als Aurasymptome der Migräne beschrieben. Die Halluzinationen der Körpervergrößerung bei der Migräne erfüllen die Kriterien eines eigenständigen neuropsychologischen Symptoms, das den Körperschemastörungen zugerechnet werden kann. Die Halluzinationen der Körpervergrößerung bei der Migräne betreffen am häufigsten den Kopf und die Hände, was der Dominanz dieser Regionen bei der zerebralen Repräsentation im sensiblen Kortex entspricht. Die Halluzinationen der 'Körpervergrößerung treten häufig zusammen mit Aurasymptomen einer Basilarismigräne auf, was mit der lokalisatorischen Annahme einer Entstehung dieser Halluzinationen im Bereich des Thalamus und der parieto-temporo-okzipitalen Grenzregion kompatibel ist.
