Dass die erhöhte kardiale Mortalität von Dialysepatienten im Zusammenhang mit der Gefäßkalzifizierung steht, hat die Studie von Blacher et al. [2] schon vor Jahren gezeigt. Das Ergebnis der RIND-Studie zeigt jedoch erstmals den Zusammenhang mit der Phosphatbindertherapie”, so Prof. Jürgen Bommer, Heidelberg.
