Voraussetzung für den Erfolg ist eine fundierte Indikationsstellung. Achskorrekturen sind kaum möglich, bei Fehlstellungen können Kompromisse eingegangen werden. Bei fehlendem VKB ist die klinische und subjektiv empfundene Instabilität wegweisend. Der Einsatz der Navigation kann das Risiko einer Fehlimplantation verringern.
