Abstract

Shoot-tip and tuber-derived callus tissues of Dioscorea floribunda MART, and GAL. when grown in revised tobacco medium supplemented with 1 and 2 mg/12,4-D, contained 0.295% and 1.33% diosgenin, respectively.
