Abstract

The structure and stereochemistry of three new 3-deoxy-flavonolignans possessing 2R- and 2S-configurations from a white flowering variety of Silybum marianum have been elucidated mainly by spectroscopic investigations. Their flavonoid precursors naringenin, eriodictyol, apigenin and chrysoeriol have also been isolated.
