Abstract

From seeds of Helloborus odorus besides hellebrine and desglucohellebrine a new bufadienolide 11α-hydroxy-des-glucohellebrine has been isolated. The assignment of the structure is based on a detailed study of its highfield ¹H and ¹³C-NMR spectral data and by correlation with known hellebrigenin derivatives.
