Krallenfußbildung bei distaler Tibialislähmung
Clawfoot Formation in Distal Lesion of the Tibial NervePublikationsverlauf

Summary
The formation of a »clawhand« is considered to be an unmistakeable sign of predominantly distal lesions of the ulnar nerve. By comparison, isolated distal lesions of the tibial nerve are rare. It is hardly known that such lesions can result in positional anomalies of the toes within a few days' time; this phenomenon has been classified as »clawfoot«. We found a relevant description of it in Toby Cohn's monography which was written more than fifty years ago. In the present article we describe a similar observation. This was based on a contused trauma of the tibial nerve in the lower third of the lower leg.
