The subcutaneously injected pitressin (10 pressor units of vasopressin) in four baboons
facilitated the release of LH at 30 minutes. As a control, vehicle was injected; however,
vehicle had no demonstrable effect on LH release. The possible sites of action of
vasopressin for LH release have been discussed.
