Various types of electrocoagulation systems have been developed in recent years. Thus,
the well-known disadvantages of electrocoagulation have been eliminated. In this article,
different modifications are compared in animal experiments. Coagulation with the electro-hydro-thermo-probe
proved to be the most effective, safest and practicable method. The results of the
so-called Bicap coagulation are also encouraging. This device might be a further useful
electrocoagulation method of controlling bleeding.
