Hitherto there have been no methods of direct inspection of all the organs and tissues
composing the bursa omentalis. A method for the endoscopic inspection of the bursa
omentalis that is highly informative and applicable in the great majority of cases
has been developed on 22 cadavers, and used on 6 patients. The technique is described
and its possibilities are discussed.
