Aneurysmale Knochenzyste des Os temporale

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über zwei Patienten berichtet, die an einer aneurysmaien Knochenzyste des Os temporale erkrankten. Nach subtotaler Kürettage der Läsion sind beide Patienten 20 Monate und 5 Jahre rezidivfrei. Die Differentialdiagnose dieser gutartigen aber rezidivierend wachsenden osteolytischen Knochenläsion schließt verschiedene Neoplasmen ein. Die Diagnose kann nur aus Gewebsproben der Zystenwand gestellt werden, da klinische und radiologische Kriterien häufig zu Fehldiagnosen führen.

Summary

The authors describe two cases of aneurysmal bone cysts of the os temporale. Subtotal removal of the lesions seemed to stop the disease since twenty months and five years respectively. Differential diagnosis for this benign but recurrent osteolytic bone lesion includes various neoplasms. Diagnosis can only be established through biopsy of the cystwall because clinical and radiological criteria are often misleading.
