Abstract
Exposure therapy with response prevention is regarded as the most effective treatment in obsessive compulsive disorder. This procedure has been applied in outpatients as well as in inpatients.
Advantages and disadvantages of outpatient vs. inpatient settings are discussed.

Das verhaltenstherapeutische Vorgehen der Exposition mit Reaktionsmanagement stellt die Methode der Wahl bei der Behandlung von Zwangsstörungen dar. Dieses Verfahren wird sowohl im ambulanten als auch im stationären Behandlungssetting angewendet. Diskutiert werden Vor- und Nachteile der stationären Behandlungssituation.
