Clinical and Neuropsychological Findings in Cerebral Whipple's DiseasePublication History
Publication Date:
08 January 2008 (online)
Abstract
Organic psychosyndromes with clouded consciousness, dementia and amnesic syndromes have been described with cerebral Whipple's disease. There is only one cursory reference on aphasia (Knox et al., 1976). Aphasia of the Wernicke type and a disturbance of spatial thought are described in a patient suffering from cerebral M. Whipple. The neuropsychological findings are correlated with the results of the CAT-scan.
