Abstract

The composition of the essential oil of the fruits of Diplotaenia cachrydifolia was investigated by GC-MS. Thirty-five compounds have been identified. The oil contained alkenes (63.5%), aromatic ethers (18.0%), alcohols (2%), sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (1.1%), aldehydes (0.4%), and ketones (0.1%). The major constituent was limonene (36%).
