Abstract

Two new pavine alkaloids (-)-2-demethylthalimonine and (-)-9-demethylthalimonine together with the known argemonine have been isolated from the aerial parts of Thalictrum simplex widespead in Mongolia. The structures have been elucidated on the basis of IR, EI-MS, and 1H-NMR analyses as well as chemical transformation, respectively.
