Abstract

A unique diatom (Entomoneis sp.) was isolated from a larger foraminifera (Marginopora vertebralis) and was successfully mass cultured. 6-Sulfo-O-α-D-quinovopyranosyldiacylglycerol was isolated from this diatom as an Na+, K+-ATPase inhibitor.
