New Saponins from the Seeds of Agrostemma githago var. githago ^#

Abstract

Two new saponins were isolated from the seeds of Agrostemma githago L. var. githago. On the basis of chemical and spectral evidence their structures were determined to be 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-{1→3}-[β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→2)]-β-D-glucuronopyranosylgypsogenin-28-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)]-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-4-O-acetylfucopyranoside and 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)-[β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→2)]-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl-gypso-genin-28-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)]-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-4-O-acetylfucopyranoside.
