Zusammenfassung
Da in der letzten Zeit immer mehr homöopathische Ärzte, die in der Lehre tätig sind,
für sich in Anspruch nehmen, eine eigene Schule zu haben, wird in diesem Aufsatz klargelegt,
daß der Begriff "Schule" für eine wissenschaftliche Denk- und Arbeitsweise schon seit
Jahrtausenden unter ganz bestimmten Voraussetzungen geprägt wurde. Es wird hier gezeigt,
daß weder Plato noch Aristoteles, noch Theophrastus als große Philosophen ihrer Zeit
für sich in Anspruch nahmen, eine Schule gegründet zu haben. In großer Ehrfurcht vor
ihrem Lehrer Sokrates haben sie es niemals fertig gebracht; und erst in späterer Zeit
hat man von einer Aristotelischen Schule gesprochen. Was die Homöopathie anbelangt,
so ist sie zweifelsohne unserem großen Meister Hahnemann als dem Inaugurator zuzurechnen.
Auch alle großen, überaus hoch geachteten und ehrenvollen homöopathischen Ärzte aller
Kontinente, die sehr viele Schüler großgezogen haben, sollten beachtet und auch in
ihrer Arbeit gewürdigt werden. Man sollte sich aber davor hüten hier von einer südamerikanischen
oder europäischen oder irgendeiner anderen nationalen Schule zu sprechen, das widerspricht
den ethischen Grundlagen des alten griechischen Begriffes Schule.
Summary
As recently more and more homoeopathic doctors who have gone into teaching have claimed
to represent a school of their own, this work intends to reveal that the term of "school"
used for a scientific way of thinking and working has required very definite preconditions
for thousands of years already. We will demonstrate that neither Plato nor Aristotle
nor Theophrastus as great philosophers of their time claimed to have founded a school
of their own. With deep respect for their teacher Socrates they had never managed
to do so, and it was only later that the term of Aristotelian School was coined. As
far as homoeopathy is concerned, it is without any doubt our master Hahnemann who
must be acknowledged to be the inaugurator, and all other great and honour-able doctors
all over the world, as much respected as they may be, who have taught a large number
of disciples, should be paid attention to and their work should be appreciated. However,
we should be careful not to speak of a South American or a European School or a school
of any other nationality; this is incon-sistent with the ethic principles of the old
Greek term of school.
