I want to thank Dr. Dennis J. Hurwitz for serving as guest editor of this issue of Seminars in Plastic Surgery on the topic of “Post-Bariatric Body Contouring” and the group of outstanding authors who contributed to this issue.

Dr. Dennis J. Hurwitz is a Clinical Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is also Director of the Hurwitz Center for Plastic Surgery in Pittsburgh. He has treated thousands of individuals with cosmetic concerns, structural defects, and congenital deformities. Dr. Hurwitz has innovated new techniques in obesity surgery and is well known for the “total body lift” procedure that he pioneered. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of numerous plastic surgery societies. Dr. Hurwitz lectures internationally and throughout the nation and has published more than 100 articles on plastic surgery and most recently published a book on total body lift surgery.
