Staging des Bronchialkarzinoms mit bildgebenden Verfahren

Zusammenfassung

Das bildgebende Staging maligner Tumoren dient einerseits der Abschätzung der Prognose und andererseits der Planung einer möglichst sinnvollen Therapie. Daher sollte der diagnostische Radiologe einerseits mit dem Stellenwert und der Interpretation der Befunde der geeigneten bildgebenden Staging-Untersuchungen vertraut sein, andererseits sind Kenntnisse der potenziellen Therapieoptionen erforderlich, um die erhobenen Befunde einordnen und ggf. weiterführende Maßnahmen planen zu können.

In diesem Beitrag werden Biologie und typische Behandlungswege beim Lungenkrebs vorgestellt, diagnostischer Stellenwert, Durchführung und Interpretation der verschiedenen radiologischen Verfahren erläutert und die Konsequenzen für Strategien des bildgebenden Stagings aufgezeigt.

Abstract

The staging of malignant tumors with imaging procedures provides information about both the patient’s prognosis and the appropriate therapy. Therefore, the diagnostic radiologist should be familiar with the value and interpretation of staging procedures as well as the potential treatment options in order to be able to evaluate the findings and plan additional procedures when appropriate.

This article discusses biology and typical treatment options for lung cancer as well as the diagnostic value, technique and interpretation of different radiological procedures. The consequences for imaging strategies in lung cancer are also illustrated.
