Summary
Studies show that low intensity pulsed ultrasound therapy results in a statistically significant shorter mean time to fracture healing compared with controls. Further randomized controlled trials are needed to determine the optimal role of this therapy, alone and in combination with other interventions, across fracture types, sites, and severities.
