Differentialdiagnosen des Schwindels

Zusammenfassung

Schwindel ist ein häufiges Symptom und damit nicht selten der Grund für eine ärztliche Vorstellung. In aller Regel bedarf es zunächst nur einer sehr differenzierten körperlichen Untersuchung und Anamnese, um schon früh einer diagnostischen Zuordnung näher zu kommen. Die Bandbreite der einen Schwindel verursachenden Erkrankungen ist sehr groß - Schwindel ist sowohl ein häufiges Symptom internistischer, neurologischer und auch HNO-ärztlicher Erkrankungen als auch in einigen Fällen ein unspezifisches Phänomen, deren Klärung letztlich nicht gelingt. In diesem Beitrag soll ein Raster der verschiedenen Schwindelsyndrome erstellt, ihre Diagnostik und therapeutischen Prinzipien erörtert werden.

Vertigo is a common symptom and thus is not infrequently the main reason for consulting the doctor. As a general rule, a differentiated clinical examination and careful history-taking suffice to quickly achieve an initial diagnostic orientation. The range of illnesses that can cause dizziness is large. Dizziness is both a common symptom of internistic, neurological and also ENT diseases and, in individual cases, an unspecific phenomenon, the final clarification of which often fails. In this paper, a raster of the various symptoms of vertigo is established, and diagnostic and therapeutic principles discussed.
