Zusammenfassung
Die Studie untersucht die Behandlung von Zahnbehandlungsphobikern (Oralophobikern),
die sich mit dem Wunsch nach Behandlung unter Narkose in zahnärztliche Behandlung
begeben hatten. In speziellen Praxen wurden sie mit dem tiefenpsychologischen Anti-Angst-Training
(AAT) in Kombination mit zahnärztlicher Lokalanästhesie behandelt. Im 1. Teil der
Studie wurden das Krankheitsbild der Oralophobie und das Anti-Angst-Training dargestellt.
Der 2. Teil der Studie behandelt die Beschreibung der Patientengruppe, die Durchführung
der Untersuchung sowie die Auswertung der Ergebnisse.
Summary
The explorative clinical study researches the treatment of 22 patients with dental
phobia who expressed the wish to undergo dental treatment under general anesthesia,
the author names this disease oralophobia.
The therapy was accomplished by help of the depth psychological concept of the anti-anxiety-training
and the use of local anesthetics. As means of therapy mainly restaurative dentistry,
dental surgery as well as prosthetic treatment were applied. As local anesthetics
Ultracain D, Ultracain D-S and Ultracain D-S forte were used. By help of the application
of these local anesthetics a significant reduction of the wish for general anesthesia
could be achieved. Furthermore the results showed that the fear of patients caused
by the sounds during dental treatment significantly influenced the dosage of the applied
analgetics, the subjectively felt security of treatment and the medical stress factor
during treatment.
